Publisher's description

From PC Tools :

File Recover is the type of utility software that users never think they require until they have accidentally deleted an important document or data file. Gone in a flash can be months or years of work, accounting records, documents, data files, and especially those files planned for tomorrows back up. No doubt, you are wondering, why buy a program when Microsoft Windows already has a Recycle Bin? Windows software has a Recycle bin as part of the package. Nevertheless, many deleted files bypass the Windows Recycle bin, and are neither saved nor recoverable. Furthermore, the Recycle Bin purges older files all the time in the normal course of doing its job. File Recover is an easy-to-use file recover and undelete program, designed to restore accidentally deleted files. It supports hard disks for FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 file systems (used by Win95/98/ME), and will recover files on logical and physical hard disks. The software is a safe and affordable do-it-yourself file recover solution to recover deleted files from all types of hard drives and other types of fixed media. File Recover supports IDE/ATA/SCSI drives and drives larger (more than 8GB). The program supports long file names. File Recover can find and recover accidentally deleted files - even after the Recycle Bin has accidentally been emptied, as well as deleted by other means, for example by the Shift-Delete function, deleted from the command line, from within an application, deleted from Windows® Explorer or files that are not stored in the Recycle Bin due to large file size. File Recover for Windows® is a non-destructive read-only application and will not write or make changes to the drive it is recovering from. File Recover for Windows® will scan the drive and bring up list of files which can be saved from the scanned drive. The search and filter function has robust sorting and search capabilities, including search by partial file name, sorting by name, directory, file type or deleted file date.
