FastStone Capture is a flexible and intuitive screen capture software. It allows you to capture anything on the screen including windows, objects, full screen, rectangle regions, freehand-selected regions, and scrolling windows/Web pages. It has innovative features such as a floating Capture Panel, hotkeys, resizing, cropping, text annotation, printing, and e-mailing. The built-in Screen Magnifier is very fun to use.

Version 4.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

  "Not the best out there."

  Pros: Free

  Cons: This programme is VERY basic.Too fiddly for me.You're better off with MwSnap, which has more features.

  Pros: Let's you capture screen shots. If that what you want to do, then this is a good way to do it. Plus, it's free!

  "Good, Free Program - Much Better Than The Others..."

  Pros: This product performs! If you know how to use a photo editing program, you will really see the benefit of this product. Out of all the other FREE and even the paid (I have tried nearly all of the popular selections on this site), this program lives up to expectations very well.

  Cons: When you need to edit an image, that has already been saved, the program does not allow you to re-edit. Otherwise, I would recommend this product over the others for screen capture (Full and Partial).

  "BEST PROGRAM EVER!"

  Pros: This is the best screen capture program ever! It can capture ANY screen on your computer (any box, any add, any picture, anything individually), it can capture the whole desktop picture or any size including odd shapes that you make (triangle, circle, star, whatever), it can capture a WHOLE webpage (in IE and Firefox and another), and it even has a color detector for those that want to know the specific color of a certain pixel in any picture or screen! It also gives you the option of adding text and many other things in its own individual editor. The best ever!

  Best of all...its FREE!

  Cons: Nothing that I can say, its the best of all the programs that Ive tried!

  "I'm on my 3rd version, works great."

  Pros: Easy to install, easy to use, no surprises. This one is a lifesaver if you are online a lot.
