This privacy-protection software hides files and folders from view, but the process seems more complicated than necessary for so little functionality.
FFGuard's password-protected interface lacks pizzazz, but adding files and folders was easy using routine browsing or by simply dragging the link to the window. FFGuard instantly hides selected files or folders from view, but we weren't happy that it wouldn't allow us to decide if files and folders are hidden or locked; it simply hides them all. The only way to access them is by opening FFGuard and removing the file you need from the protected list. Once you're done viewing or editing it, it has to be added back to the list for protection. Individual passwords aren't available per file and folder either; they are all blanketed under the same password used to access this program.
Note: During the trial, you won't be able to modify your password once you've set it. This software can hide your files and folders, but there's a lot to be desired in its approach.
FFGuard is a secure and easy to use program that lets you password-protect and easily prevent access to your important files and folders that may be your privacy. It can lets you specify which programs are still able to access protected items, such as virus scanners or disk drive utilities. A protected folder and its contents will be prevented from being renamed, modified, deleted, copied, moved, accessed or even seen on the system.
