Extension Overload (formerly called Xtension Overload) is a comprehensive database that reviews and gives detailed information on extensions and control panels that are commonly found in the Extensions and Control Panel folders, in Mac OS versions 7.5 through 9.0.4.

Version 5.8 adds many improvements to the user interface to make it much more compliant with Appearance and Kaleidescope; descriptions for 75 extensions, 30 CSM, 25 control panels, and 20 CMM; a comprehensive database with a total of 4,580 extensions, CSM, and CMM; and updates to the user manual.

Note: This unregistered version provides partial database information on 70 percent of the extensions and Control Panel modules, and it displays a nag screen. Registration is $20.
