Extension Overload (formerly called Xtension Overload) is a comprehensive database that reviews and gives detailed information on more than 4,265 extensions and Control Panels that are commonly found in the Extensions and Control Panel folders, in Mac OS versions 7.0 through 9.0.4. Version 5.7.1 offers detailed description of 4,358 extensions, CSM and CMM plugins, improved memory management of code for tight memory situations, and a fix for a bug that could cause crashes on systems earlier than MacOS 8.5 if navigation services were not installed.

Note: This unregistered version provides only partial database information on 70 percent of the extensions and Control Panel files, and displays a nag screen. Registration is $20.
