Extension Overload (formerly called Xtension Overload) is a comprehensive database that reviews and gives detailed information on more than 4,265 extensions and Control Panels that are commonly found in the Extensions and Control Panel folders, in Mac OS versions 7.0 through 9.0.4. In version 5.7, Extension Overload contains descriptions of 2,900 extensions, 1,065 control panels, 200 Control Strip modules, and 100 contextual menu items. There are also more links to developers' sites, information on extensions and control panels, the ability to control CMM plug-ins, and several other enhancements. It also covers extensions and control panels from Mac OS 9.1.

Note: This unregistered version provides only partial database information on 70 percent of the extensions and control panels.
