From Decisoft :

This Windows add-on, which converts regular edit fields into drop-down combo boxes, remembers the history of user input. Edit Buddy also enhances File Open and File Save dialog boxes with the list of most recently used folders. In this version, the right-click menu is extended. In addition, some compatibility issues are resolved (with Visual Basic and Visual Source Safe).

The latest version includes an initial text option that allows users to put certain text in the input field every time a specific dialog box opens, and a Quick Start Guide.
