Publisher's description
From Binary Zoo :Echoes is a bit like Asteroid's hyperactive, drug crazed brother displayed in blur-o-vision and viewed through psychedelic sunglasses in a cheap nightclub.
the game consists of 10 levels with a new enemy introduced on each new level (mini asteroid, small asteroid, large asteroid, XXL asteroid, comet, meteor storm, asteroid belt, planet, black hole & sun). Each has different strengths and weaknesses, and each requires different strategies.
The player loses energy when hit by an enemy. Remaining energy is shown on the HUD but the coloured ring around the player also indicates energy status (a large, green circle changing to a small red circle as energy depletes). There are three different powerups that appear at random intervals to aid your progress: Weapon Up; Energy Up; and Ring of Bullets.
Version 1.01 is the first public release of Echoes.

Version: Echoes 1.01
Pros: It's Geometry Wars clone, which is a fun game on Xbox 360 Arcade. It's Asteroids, but pretty fast and fun.
Cons: This game isn't fast and fun, and that's the big problem with Binary Zoo for me: they are too slow and kind of dull when it comes to shooters. They can take something as awesome as GW and turn it into what is very much a slow, plodding process of wiping everything out, coupled with some hazy effect that makes it harder to see stuff.
Instead of this game, try Rainbow Wars (on this site), Grid Wars (run a Google), or X Wars (almost done). They are much better and not as system hungry or just plain boring.

Version: Echoes 1.01
Pros: Fast action, easy point-and-shoot style. When you want an arcade style game that you can zone out on, this is a good one!
Cons: Took a little while to get my controller configured, and it only works when I turn my resolution down to 1024 x 768. Might just be my graphics card.

Version: Echoes 1.01
"Very good asteroids type shooter"
Pros: Yes its an asteroids (or geometry wars) clone but its fun has very vibrant graphics and (unlike post below) runs very smoothly on my computer a warning though you will get owned when you reach level 10 lol
it allows you to play your own mp3s in game..which is always a good feature

Version: Echoes 1.01
"Superfast, Superfun, Superintense!"
Pros: This game first of all is very fast-paced. It has really awesome colors, music, and special effects when you put everything on max. It is extremely fun, and despite what everyone else says, it is a really great game.
Cons: None, but the installation files could be more organized...

Version: Echoes 1.01
"A nice and fast Geometry Wars clone;Binary Zoo did its magic again."
Pros: First this is AN AMAZING product pretty equal to Geometry Wars. This is the best(and free!)alternative to the quality game Geometry Wars. If you never played Geometry Wars you HAVE to download this. Even if you have, give it a shot, you'll like it. If you dont have a Joystick remember to go to the options and change the settings to mouse or keyboard or even customize the buttons to your own liking.
And SceptreX my good friend, this is the BEST clone out there. It IS faster compared to both Rainbow and Grid Wars. Even though I have an Intel Celeron proccesor(which I think is great), it is very low on requirements and it is so-not system hungry or boring. I ran it on an Avast Deep Full Scan while securely erasing the Recycle Bin which was holding about 500MB. Thats what I call Memory Use. And that 'hazy' effect is what makes Geometry Wars shine. That's why everyone, including me, love it.
Cons: Well nothing except that the stuff in the zip file is pretty messed up but once you unzip it everythings quite well organized and you only see the Echoes executable file and a few folders.
