When you were a kid, did you have one of those little diaries with a lock and key? They weren't fancy, but there was something enjoyable about recording a day's events in those little books and then locking them up. Easy Diary is the electronic equivalent of those little books, a basic diary program that allows users to record their daily events and thoughts. Although the program is not particularly rich in features, it's not bad for a very basic diary.
The program's interface is quite plain; it shows a two-month calendar, and below that, a text box. Clicking a day on the calendar will show that day's entry in the text box; to create a new entry, users simply click in the box and start typing. Users can customize the background and font in this area to make the diary more personal. The entire diary is searchable, making it easy to find entries on a given topic. The program has very few extra features. Users can create backup files to export and import as needed, and the diary can be password protected. Multiple users can be created if desired. And that's really all there is to it. The program has no Help file, although the features are so basic that it doesn't really matter. The whole program is very intuitive and easy to use, and what it lacks in features it makes up for in simplicity.
Easy Diary is free. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users needing a very basic diary program.

Version: Easy Diary 1.3
"does the job & saves work automatically"
Pros: Easy Diary automatically saves what you've entered without having to manually hit a save button, so if your computer dies/disconnects for whatever reason, or ideal if you just don't feel like hitting save after you finish something.
Cons: It doesn't have a ton of features, very basic.
Summary: Great for tasks, and I use it for to-do lists & logs. Gets the job done for sure. Very user friendly, you don't have to be a computer genius for this one.
