Cons: This game can take a while to learn how to play well and it's not for all people because it does require one to be patient.

Version: EVE Online - The Second Genesis 1.2.1
Pros: I the graphics are second to none. I loved the mood, atmosphere and music. I really wanted to play this game for the long haul.
Cons: The learning curve is horrendous. The character generator was not as good as it is hyped to be. Most characters of a specific race end up looking the same regardless of how you morph the cheekbones.
The interface is way to complicated (especially the markets) and not intuative at all. But probably the worst thing is that you cannot position the camera angles so that you can pilot your ship in a first person perspective which really stinks. You can't see where you are going! To me this is a fatal flaw of the game. I cancelled my subscription after a few days of play time. But I would give it another shot if this aspect alone was re-designed.

Version: EVE Online - The Second Genesis 1.2.1
Pros: This game is definitely the most amazing MMO that I have ever played. The 3D graphics are beautiful but do not require a superb video card to run. All of the expansions are free, and the company that makes the game, CCP, is very helpful and will attend to all your problems within 24 hours. This game takes awhile to learn how to play, but there is an extensive tutorial that will aid you. This game is best played in a corporation, where you can interact with other players and help each other out. You can fly through space, do mining or courier missions, mine on your own or in groups for much profit, kill npc pirates as well as pvp. Players can build ships, shop on the extensive player driven market, refine ores, research blueprints, maunufacture equipment, and even make their own corporations and alliances. War and politics are also heavily infiltrated into the game. The game costs 15 bucks a month, but since the expansions are free and you can download the game right off the site, it isn't too expensive. Overall, I highly recommend this game for the mature and intelligent game player who wants more than hack and slash leveling.
Cons: Occassionally there is lag but with the new server upgrades that should be eliminated. Some people complain about pirates, but they are just another great aspect to the game.

Version: EVE Online - The Second Genesis 1.2.1
Pros: The thing is with EVE it is by far one of the most hardcore MMO's out there. EVE revolves heavily around it's ingame economy system, you pretty much have to join up with a corporation (guild) from day one to and start mining asteroid fields in your little tug boat to earn your keep and make some money to buy a decent sized ship. for the first couple of weeks or so you'll be doing nothing but mining. set your ship in an asteroid field, set it to mine and go watch a movie or take a walk.
You don't gain exp, rather you try to make enough money to buy new skills to learn. learning skills can take a few hours up to even a few days. These skills will allow you to mine better, knowledge yourself in different weapons, navigate jumps better and allow you to pilot better ships.
Cons: PIRATES!!!!!
