As far as reputations go, ESET's NOD32 is practically unimpeachable. Version 4 of the popular and effective antivirus and antispyware builds on that rep, emphasizing its community-sourced ThreatSense for preventing attacks before they occur, a slick interface, and some of the highest independently-tested detection rates married to low rates of false positives.
Installation is clean and straightforward. Greatly improved from its humble beginnings as separate scanners that once littered the desktop, NOD32 can be toggled between standard features and more advanced options. Scans were neither blazingly fast nor excruciatingly slow, but the real-time defenses produced no noticeable drags on system performance. NOD32 has consistently scored near the top of several independent antivirus testing organization ratings for finding the most malware. An uninstallation option is available, requiring a reboot. However, we found residual system files and Registry settings that had to be deleted by hand.
If you're confident in your clicking habits, you might not necessarily miss the firewall and spam filter that ESET built into its Smart Security suite that's based on NOD32. Even without them, though, NOD32's speed, accuracy, and lack of impact on resources make it a must.

Nothing noticeable for me. Though not in this version, I am a bit disappointed with customization of Parantal Control Options in v5 which I am using right now as Beta.

* Doesn't slow me down one bit while gaming, checking e-mail or surfing.
* System resources don't get eaten up.Cons
* When I use something involving CUDA (usually video encoding) and I do a virus scan, a dialog window pops up black.
* Anti-virus is great, but the Malware bit is just not quite up to snuff.Summary
If you're a big believer that there is no one solution and don't want to go the route of an all in one suite, this is the anti-virus for you. I stick with something like Malwarebytes for my anti-malware.

very powerful and updates 3 times a day only and doesnt slow computer at all. scan takes about 45 min to scan my entire computer, very fast. I have used Norton, Avast!, and AVG in the past but theres nothing that can b compared to eset, period.

It has small footprint, up to date detections (increasing odds against zero day attacks), rare false positives and a straight forward interface.
Cons
This product works very well for me and I would recommend it to anyone who is computer savvy and doesn't require a suite of overkill protections.

You don't have to be an expert to use this great product. It is straight forward and gives experienced computer users the protection they need without loading down their systems.

One of the best AV programs there is. Good Scanning. Good Price. Does NOT slow down your computer. I use his on a daily basis.
Cons
Does not find Rootkits. Still has some bugs.

Pros
I think it works better than other antivirus. It works lighter and my system responds faster. In the past I've used Avast but it's cpu usage spikes up and hangs my pc it last for several seconds, not with NOD32 Antivirus. The best of its kind.
Cons
No free version. When it is updating and doing scan on start up log-in/after update scanning my pc sometimes hangs up and I've to wait for several minutes but this was already solved by changing the scheduler set-ups.
Summary
This is one of the best antivirus of the world. It has history. Highly recommended.

Pros
ESET will remain viable because I probably represent under 1% of their customer base. 99+% effective is a good thing for their bottom line. I remained virus free for a year and they did refund my renewal fee.
Cons
The customer support failed to get me back. I think a recommended total restore is not a solution anyone wants to hear. Nevertheless, that was the path I had to take.
Summary
ESET failed to protect me against a virus and then failed again to bail me out. I moved on to another company.
