As far as reputations go, ESET's NOD32 is practically unimpeachable. Version 4 of the popular and effective antivirus and antispyware builds on that rep, emphasizing its community-sourced ThreatSense for preventing attacks before they occur, a slick interface, and some of the highest independently-tested detection rates married to low rates of false positives.
Installation is clean and straightforward. Greatly improved from its humble beginnings as separate scanners that once littered the desktop, NOD32 can be toggled between standard features and more advanced options. Scans were neither blazingly fast nor excruciatingly slow, but the real-time defenses produced no noticeable drags on system performance. NOD32 has consistently scored near the top of several independent antivirus testing organization ratings for finding the most malware. An uninstallation option is available, requiring a reboot. However, we found residual system files and Registry settings that had to be deleted by hand.
If you're confident in your clicking habits, you might not necessarily miss the firewall and spam filter that ESET built into its Smart Security suite that's based on NOD32. Even without them, though, NOD32's speed, accuracy, and lack of impact on resources make it a must.

"The Best and The Most Powerful Antivirus Software..."
Pros: 1) Automatically Updates Virus Database when I am connected to net.
2) Block all attempts to collect and forward your personal data.
3) Very Small in Size still working from behind to give you the most powerful security.Cons: Shows some files cannot be opened during scan (I really don't know, it comes in 'cons' or not or some there is some prob with my comp) but very sure tht, it does not let viruses escape and ruin your system, kills them as soon as they try to harm you.
Summary: Invest some money (Buy it!!) and enjoy the best protection ever, ranked best from all too! Install it and you don't have bother yourself by any manually stuff such as updates, scan, etc...
It takes care of you COMPLETELY. -

"Very satisfied with NOD32 AV"
Pros: I find it simple and easy to use; I depend of it's considerable reputation as being one of the best. I'm not computer literate enough to assess the effectiveness of the various utilities as other users do but so far, I'm satisfied.
Cons: When unrecognized malware is found it would be helpful if the option to transmit the unknown file to ESET was right there on the results page with the malware already entered in the box.

"Gets out of the way, and does its job."
Pros: I use NOD32 on Windows 7 64 Bit. NOD has a small resource footprint, it's fast and very non-intrusive.
Cons: Viri definitions updated automatically, main program updates... not so much.
Summary: I use NOD because I just don't have faith in "freebie" AV programs, and because it isn't a lumbering bloated pig of an application like the garbage oozing out of Symantec these days.

Pros: Pros: very configurable
Semi-pros, amateurs: default settings more than able to stop most virusesCons: Pros: Not quite as good as other name brand AV SW in detection or malware removal - although the differences are very small.
Semi-pros, Amateurs: a bit tricky to configure. "This is THE BEST Antivirus Program out there."
Pros: Everything you would expect from an antivirus program. It will catch anything that tries to harm your computer, updates regularly and it will never be a burden to your system.
Cons: Nothing at all, but to be honest, it looks kinda boring except for that cool cyborg.
Summary: Its much better than AVG, Avast, Norton and even Kaspersky that i have before. The only problem with Kaspersky was that it made my system sluggish.
