Cons: No exclusion criteria (eg. tmp files, etc.)

Pros: This is an excellent software program
IMHO- I think this much more needed for your computer than registry repair programs. It certainly cleans and frees up precious hd space.. It's that good.
Options include:
Protecting Windows and Program files
excluding system files
moves to recycle bin
export files to CVS
Cons: I wish it would give you an estimate time of scanning the paths and extra warnings about trying to scan whole Drives instead of breaking it down in selective paths.
I set the program to scan my whole C/drive..19 hours and 24,000 files later..
I realize that wasn't a smart move

Pros: If you tired of trying all those other programs that need a software degree to operate, then this is the one for you.
It works like a charm. Fast, easy to understand and does a great job of making things easy. There is a smart duplicate marker that helps you decide which bunch you want to remove. It's scary to remove something and then one of your program don't work. This will make it easier to decide and allows you to save all the removed program in case you need to restore it.
I've tried many programs but this one is the simplest to use.
The other plus is that it's FREE!

Version: Duplicate Cleaner 1.2
"Does what it says on the box."
Pros: Quick with lots of easy to use options and wizards. Quick to install but not too quick, hence a well developed intelligent bit of software. Saved me 35 Gigs out of a 50gig folder of various work files and downloads since 1995. Took about ten minutes. Backup option too. Doesn't go mad and delete everything.
Cons: There is nothing I don't like about this software. It is a gem of a piece.
