Publisher's description

From NCsoft :

Dungeon Runners is an online, multiplayer RPG in a fast-paced sword-and-shield setting where defeating monsters and evil enemies results in piles of loot and treasure. The entire game is playable solo or with a group - it scales automatically to give you an appropriate challenge based on your situation. There are no travel times; you can easily teleport to dungeons and areas that you have been to before. There are a variety of character archetypes to choose from including fighter, mage and ranger in a classless RPG system where you are not locked into skills that are usually associated with their specific archetype. Dungeon Runners focuses mainly on hectic action and battles with limited death penalties and endless gold, weapons, armor and magic items available to claim after defeating hordes of monsters. The game also features a lighter side, with subtle and not-so-subtle humor sprinkled throughout the game including names of many items in the game. Version 0.0.88 adds new quests.

Pros: Great alternative to Guild Wars, same company though. If you want a different game, this is it!

    "It was ok..."

by angelictruth on October 21, 2007

Pros: I liked it. It was what I was expecting -- make a character and kill everything in site, simple enough. I would have liked more convenient controls... but it wasn't to bad. the graphics are pretty good for a free game, and I love the personalities that they gave to the npc's! I also liked that you can use any weapon you wanted to.

Cons: I hated the fact that you do everything by yourself at least at the beginning. I felt like it was hard to get to know people and to try to figure out what class and stuff they where.

    "Decent Enough"

    by Mr.Hat123 on September 13, 2007

Pros: Dungeon Runners is a hack and slash game. You start off in a little camp in the forest. It has just an obelisk that will teleport you to Townston (more on that later), a merchant ,three people who should have some quests for you, and the gate to a dungeon.

More to the game, attributes play a major role in the game. Every time you level up you gain five attribute points. You can gain additional attribute points based on what items you have. Items are very important, every time you level up there will be new, better items available. However, there are special items you can acquire, these special items are more advanced for their level, the strongest (and only) "special items" you can acquire playing for free is crystal. Also the names of the items can be used to quickly identify an item. The names are not randomly chosen, heres how it works:

*Extra Damage/Special Effect* *Name of Item/Type of Item* *Attribute Bonus*

An example would be something like this:

[Scorching] [Giant Club] [of the Noggin]

Memorizing what these names do can help you. Noggin is Int bonus while scorching would be extra fire damage. By memorizing these names it can be easier to know what items are useful to you, and what items are just going to be dropped or sold.

Oh i almost forgot, Obelisks are teleportation machine things. This game has town portal scrolls, which allow you to instantly create a portal which you can use to get back to town and sell stuff (woot). The obelisk (big revolving stone tower) can teleport you to the exact spot the portal was made, and even better, the portal stays there till you logout or reset.

Members get the best items, stackable potions, voice chat, and more stuff coming out soon. Voice chat allows members to talk to people in their party in game (including free players). stackable potions come in handy in case you dont have much inventory space. You also get an item bank, which lets you store items. The game costs $5 dollars a month to play.

Cons: I had to cut out a lot of details in my summary, but the community is usually friendly during the day, someone will be willing to help i guarantee it. Just type /w *your message here* and everyone will see it. I hope you thought my summary gave a thorough view of the game, but if you're not sure, my advice is always to try games, it doesnt hurt, even with slow downloads just leave your cumputer on overnight.

Note: THIS FILE IS NOT THE REAL DUNGEON RUNNERS GAME ONCE YOU DOWNLOAD THIS, RUN IT, PICK A FILE TO SAVE IT IN, AND THEN IT WILL START TO DOWNLOAD USING PLAYNC's (the company that made this) DOWNLOADER, IT DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO USE THIRDPARTY (such as Download Accelerator Plus) OR INTERNET EXPLORER TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME.

All in all, this is a good game.
