Publisher's description of DropMyRights
From Michael Howard:This freeware privacy program greatly increases the security of Windows XP. Everyone running XP should use it. Drop My Rights makes Windows more secure by running selected programs in a restricted environment (i.e. with lower rights) even when logged on to Windows XP as an Administrator. Improve system security with this tiny executable freeware, but prepare to spend some time configuring shortcuts. After installation, double-click DropMyRights and you'll see a command window flash open and close. Don't worry, you only missed a short help screen listing the program's three options. The application doesn't have an interface since it isn't something you run by itself.
The beauty of this utility is you can log on as an administrator, and still lock down select applications. DropMyRights literally drops the rights of an application from unrestricted to normal, constrained, or untrusted. It neither adds overhead nor slows down your applications. It simply blocks them from performing certain security-breaking functions.
To use DropMyRights, you will need to spend some time creating shortcuts to your browsers, instant messengers, and other programs. Each shortcut loads DropMyRights with the full path to the selected program as an argument. Novice users may have difficulty with that step at first, but should pick up the method quickly.
Some inexperienced users may find this program frustrating at first, but intermediate users to advanced users will quickly pick up using DropMyRights. It efficiently performs a much needed security function.

Version: DropMyRights 1.04
Pros: I like the idea of what this program does, but....
Cons: This ISN'T "easy", as in, just install it click an icon and go. This program involves MORE and therefore isn't for anyone who doesn't know how or who doesn't want to be inconvenienced by doing MORE than just "clicking an icon and then it goes on it's own".
Just warning everyone :).

Version: DropMyRights 1.04
Pros: Too lazy to constantly switch profiles, this tool ( hopefully) will help reduce my risk browsing the internet. And only 20k big. Now I have 2 shortcuts for IE, one full admin and the default with dropmyrights.
I had to use N parameter, because the 2 tougher ones immediately kill IE, probably due to Google and Copernic toolbars

"Killeen Texas Computer Nerds - Excellent Concept"
Pros: The concept of shutting off various rights and tweaking services is an excellent idea. We are in the online repair business, thus this program is a perfect match for us and our customers.
