Publisher's description
From Tom Ehlert - Software & Consulting :Drive Snapshot creates an exact Disk Image of your system into a file, including the operating system, installed programs, your data and all security attributes - while windows is running and you continue to work. If desaster strikes (a virus, trojan, or hard disk crash), a complete and exact restauration of your system will be possible in only few minutes. The image file can be mounted as a virtual drive, so you can easily restore (or use) single files or directories, using the Windows Explorer, or other program (e.g. WINDIFF).
Restart to DOS is only necessary, if you must restore your system partition. Otherwise there is no need to reboot - not even during installation. Drive Snapshot saves only the use disk space, compresses the data and is extremly fast - a P4/2GHz will save approx. 1GByte/Minute on a local disk drive.

Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Cons: This version I downloaded (v1.34) is out of date -- works no longer than 2004.

Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
"The Best Hard Drive Imaging App. Period"
Pros: I've used loads of drive imaging programs, freeware, commercial and shareware, and Drive Snapshot outshines them all. Very fast. Ability to image the drive while running the operating system is unparalleled, except for Terabyte Unlimited's Image for Windows, which requires an add-on program and reboot. It's simple and effective. The price is well worth it. Combined with a BartPE boot disk for restore functions, this is the way to go.
Cons: Nothing.

Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
"Simple. Well written. Good e-mail support. Efficient."
Pros: I love this! Doesn't install, it's just one exe file. Backups the drive even if it's working.
Cons: Too little colors used on UI? :))
Seriously: It could do scheduled backup ... who wants to write batch files these days?

Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
"***? It installs and then says that it is expired as of 9/2004."
Pros: The install is small and installs fast, so you don't feel like you wasted a bunch of time after you realize this piece of crap don't work.
Cons: I feel like a retard now. I just lost 10 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.
