Version: Drive Backup Free Edition (64-bit) 9.0
"Works, good boot CD, non-existent compression."
Pros: 1) It works, but with limited features.
2) Excellent boot CD for disaster recovery, needs Windows Media Player.
3) Images drives or partitions directly to removable media, like external drives.Cons: 1) Practically non-existent compression ratio. This is a feature that I didn't see even in the full version. This is the main reason why I wouldn't buy it.
2) The browse function is goofy.Summary: I was hesitant between a 3 or a 4 star rating, finally gave it a 4 because you can't beat the price tag, best asset of the program.
However, it is crippleware, a watered-down version designed to entice you to buy the full version.
