Dosing Assistant is designed to minimize the steps for calculating medication dosages and volumes for a prescription. This is particularly helpful for the care of pediatric patients whereby dosing is routinely body weight-based and medications are liquids or suspensions. This program will not only provide the minimum and maximum doses (in mg and ml), but after selecting the dose, interval, and duration, it will complete the prescription including the drug concentration, ml to be given, times per day, duration (number of days or weeks), and will calculate the total volume to be dispensed for the prescription.
