From Novarm :DipTrace is a complete state-of-the-art PCB-design system with an easy-to-learn user interface. It includes schematics, a PCB with a powerful autorouter, component and pattern editors. DipTrace allows you to autoroute single-side PCBs using jumper wires. The shape-based copper-pour system can help you reduce your manufacturing costs by minimizing the amount of etching solution required and to create plane layers with different types of fill and thermals.
The PCB can be updated from the schematic and can keep the component placement and routed tracks. The set of DRC functions allows you to control the design rules and to compare the final PCB to the schematic. Supported output formats are DXF, Gerber RS-274X, and N/C Drill. Components and PCBs can be imported from DXF. DipTrace allows you create the edge automatically and export G-code to produce PCBs using the milling method. Standard libraries include more than 50,000 components.

"Excellent PCB Layout Tool for the Budget Conscious"
Pros: I purchased the Diptrace Lite version:
o Large library of component footprints
o Easy and intuitive to use
o Very good tutorial available
o Outputs Gerber files to send to your PCB fab vendor
o The price is right. Lots of capability for an inexpensive tool. A great value!
Cons: o Program sometimes crashes on my windows ME 800MHz computer (it does not crash my computer, though). It is always recoverable. I don't care because it does what I want for a good price.
