CNET Editors' review
Desktop iCalendar Lite offers users a way to keep their calendar at the forefront of their computer. With a simple interface and few problems, this is a great way for users to stay on top of the day's events.
This free program lays itself out on the upper right corner of your desktop. A month-view calendar appears, with the current day highlighted, and below it is a list of reminders for the day and a to-do list. All are dark and hide well on the computer desktop with text that is either orange or white. In addition, the entire image can be altered by accessing the Options menu in the desktop tray icon. From there, users can choose several skin color options as well as the opacity. Entering reminders and to-dos is very simple, thanks to their intuitive nature. Users are taken to a screen that allows for a title, date, and notes to be entered. The reminder allows you to set an alarm, while the to-do can be adjusted with status and priority.
While we wondered why the to-do and reminder options weren't combined into one excellent package instead of two fairly redundant ones, we felt this was a great program for users looking for an organizational tool that is much simpler than popular in-depth calendaring software. We recommend this program for users seeking a simple calendar.

"IT REVOLUTIONIZED MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Version: Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.9.3
Pros
Because of this calendar, I must admit that I AM SUPER DUPER ORGANIZED NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons
I must also admit that this Calendar has tons of other features such as email notifications, but I don't use any of them, and I see that other people are complaining about the other features.
Summary
If you need a Calendar at your Desktop to help you get organized, this will definitely be your good friend! However, if you require some of the other more advanced features, then I'm not sure how well they work?? All I ever needed was a Calendar right at my face everyday when I'm using my PC, lol .... this ensures me that I don't forget anything : )

"Great little Desktop Addition for XP Pro"
Version: Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.9.3
Pros
Does just what I needed it to, which is to provide a Calendar to the Desktop. Navigation is easy, and the "Events" and "To Do" features are a plus.
Cons
None really.
Summary
Needed a Desktop Calendar for my XP Pro Work PC similar to the Vista Sidebar on my home PC. Of course, I would gladly replace Vista with XP Pro on my home PC if I only could (HP does NOT recommend 'downgrading' the OS - their words not mine). I can't even begin to explain what a total FUBAR Vista is. I would upgrade to W-7, but only if MS did the right thing and provide it to Vista users for free, with their sincerest apologies.
