Hott Notes offers users an opportunity to keep themselves organized with a virtual pad of yellow sticky notes. This program offers a simple set of tools to create notes, but does not live up to all its promised potential.
Hott Notes offers a variety of features to help you manage your digital sticky notes:
- Remind: You can place notes on your desktop that remind you of important dates or tasks every time you use your computer.
- List: This feature lets you make checklists to see what tasks you have completed and what you still need to do.
- Scribble: Get creative by drawing pictures or writing notes with a stylus on a tablet PC. You can adjust the size of your scribble notes as you like.
- Style: Personalize your notes by choosing from different colors, fonts, and transparency levels. You can also create and save your own themes to make your desktop uniquely yours.
- Edit: If you need to change a note, just double-click on it, make your edits, and click ‘Done’ when you are ready.
- Manage: Organizing many notes is simple with the Note Manager. This tool lets you see all your notes, whether they're on your desktop, in the wastebasket, or archived. You can also manage multiple notes at once.
Hott Notes is designed to be simple yet fully customizable. It’s perfect for anyone who needs a little help staying organized or wants to add a personal touch to their computer’s desktop.
This freeware pops up instantly and allows users to quickly sketch down a note and paste it to their desktop. This is much like any note-making program on the market. However, what makes Hott Notes enjoyable is how it handles its added features. Where many programs are cluttered and sometimes confusing, four simple tabs allow users to customize their notes. Note writers can adjust the size and font of their note and even center the text with one tab. Another allows the user to change the color of the note to anything imaginable. A third tab, and the most unique option, allows users to adjust opacity, making the note as transparent as they choose. Finally, a simple alarm can be set to alert the user of a note.
Bottom Line
While we have no complaints about this program's ease of use and performance, Hott Notes did make a claim that users could also draw pictures. After testing we did not find any option to do so. Even without the option of doodling, users looking for an extremely simple, free notes program will appreciate what Hott Notes has to offer.
