Version: Desktop Mechanic 2
"Trial version rates one star"
Cons: only because I can't give it a big fat ZERO! It won't repair anything in the deep scan with out registering the product. Shows you 100 plus problems and uses this as a goad to purchase. Desktop Mechanic is not one I would recommend to anyone. I despise trial versions that only want your money.

Version: Desktop Mechanic 2
"I wonder about "PC Tools" these days."
Pros: I've been waiting an update for "Registry Mechanic" so I can use my paid program on my "Vista" computer. Instead I find this combination of "Registry Mechanic" and "Privacy Guardian". "Privacy Guardian" is something I don't like because you have to restore or restart your computer after every use. This application is the same and the free trial is severely disabled. All they did here was combine two applications, one good and one poor and increased the price. This is bad business "PC Tools".
Cons: Although they have some free software now, it looks like it's all about the money at "PC Tools" these days. I'd much rather see an updated version of "Registry Mechanic", then this.

Version: Desktop Mechanic 2
Pros: Desktop Mechanic has been good for me because it saves me the time of fiddling with a bunch of Windows Utilities and provides me with all this functionality in one program.
Plus it uses the registry cleaning ability of Registry Mechanic which I really like also.
Cons: You need to pay

Version: Desktop Mechanic 2
Pros: Fast download with easy controls.
Cons: Scans system and finds hundreds of errors but fixes nothing unless you pay. Why not say so up front? I view this come on with disdain.
