Version: DeriveIt's Web Content Filter 1
"** Editors Please review ** Best S/W for the money"
Pros: Does not bog down internet speed due to different filter methodology. Very small program (takes virtually no resources and very little hard drive space). New 1.2 Version now has whitelist to allow legit sites to pass through. Excellent Technical Support.
Cons: Some categories still need tweaking in filtering. Would like to have user defined filters for customized categories.

Version: DeriveIt's Web Content Filter 1
Pros: My stepson turns 13 next month and you know how kids' curiosity at that age
can begin to present a challenge... I'd been searching several weeks for a
good web content filter. I installed and uninstalled a handful of trial
versions. Netnanny failed miserably at blocking sites, Cybersitter overblocked sites for no apparent reason (msn.com?) or Norton Internet Security Suite 2005 which did a very good job filtering content but slowed the pc down to a crawl as well as prevented my wireless adapter from establishing communication with the router. Frustration was beginning to mount until I installed this product and I can't tell you enough how impressed I am, not only with the excellent filtering, but with the lack of any slowdowns on the PC. If you just need a good solid "set-it and forget it" filter on your kids PC this one is well worth trying (and in my case buying).
Cons: None yet.

Version: DeriveIt's Web Content Filter 1
Pros: Simply and easy to use product. Simply install it and let it do its job.
I like the fact that there is no blacklists to maintain, and I found the accuracy very good.
I also found the product support to be very responsive.
