Tasks can be created to run remote commands on target systems (stop/start services, run DOS commands, execute batch scripts, etc), deploy files/directories to the target systems, build applications from source control.
Integrated File Transfer - Because Deployment Studio Express uses its own integrated TCP/IP based file transfer protocol, there is no need to setup file shares or FTP services on the target machines.
