Data not easy to share.Summary
The website leads you to believe you can sink data to an iPhone. This is not the case and they blame amazon for this. Since this app is supposed to be written for Mac's I thought it would work better on mine. Wrong. I bought the app to sink to my iPhone so i would have the data with me in order to not double purchase dvd's. I paid $35.00 for the app. I spent about 7 or 8 hours loading data from 98 dvd's to find out I can't sink with an iPhone. It plainly tells you that in the help menu after you purchase. I went to iTunes and found an app for the iPhone for $2.99 and had the same dvd's scanned in an hour 45 min. I feel ripped off.

Delicious makes upgrading very difficult by putting the software on unbelievably slow and unreliable servers for distribution. This is a continual problem we've reported to them before, to no avail. -

This is a superb programme, worth every penny of the very modest asking price. It's already paid for itself over and over, through saving me from purchasing CDs I already own. I never bothered about a separate scanner. The iMac built-in camera works just fine. Five stars from me! -

It feels like this software has been developed by the Apple Team. It perfectly integrates with your mac, and also allows to export your library to your Ipod, Iphone and Ipod Touch in a snap of fingers. Searching, is really Fast. Cool graphic.
Cons
I really have to think hard to find something I don't like about this software. Maybe internationalization can be extended to more countries including Italy (that would maybe make myself very happy :-)

I was able to add movies right away, just scanned with my Isight camera the codebar, and in a second the movie was there, populated with information about Year of production, Actor Names, Movie Poster and so on. more than a movie where not present in the database, but nothing easier than creating an entry manually.
The way items are displayed in virtual shelves is awesome, it really makes it cool to show them to friends and family when you don't know which one to pick for the night. You can even publish your catalog online and have an online version always available. You can manage your loans easily thanks to its integration with address book and Ical. The Demo version allows you to upload a maximum of 25 items automatically. above that quantity, you would need to add them manually.
Great Software, It's worth the price. -

Delicious Library 2.x was already the best app of it's kind - But the new Version 2.1 blows everything away and is now definitely second to none ! I love the iPhone App - finally we can travel with our whole library of Books, CDs, Movies, Games in our pocket - lovely :-) ...and we've got all this nice extra features - Thank You Guys - Delicious Library rocks ! -

I would not recommend this product. This was an impulse buy and it has been a disappointment. I really hope the developers work this out. I paid for the original App then I was ignorant enough to spend the money to upgrade to the 2nd version. I'm not a developer. I am certain alot of work goes into making these applications. My suggestion would be put more time into and make it work right or kill it altogether and stop taking money from people for a very sub par flashy application. It wants to be a very big, very great application. I'll give you credit for thinking big but you really need to get it sorted out. It takes forever to load. I literally launch it and leave the room to make a cup of tea. This is normal behavior and something I've learned to live w/ because I don't want to tell myself I really just blew 40 bucks on this mess. Once it gets going and you think its going to surprise you and work. You try to add anything to your list of movies, books, gadgets...and it FAILS. Locks up and takes a ****. I'm sorry I bought this application and I would hope the developer would be big enough to fix it or just take it down. Good luck guys. I'm sure there is alot of sweat and hours in this but it needs to be fixed and please don't charge everyone again for an update that makes it actually do what we all paid for it to do... work.
