Whether you want to destroy sensitive files for good or just need to do a bit of PC maintenance, Deletor gives you a great deal of control over the erasing process. The installation is highly customizable, letting you create a personal desktop icon that will appear only when you log in to the PC. However, Deletor won't win any design awards, as the interface is cluttered with many icons and boxes. Nevertheless, we didn't have too much of a problem figuring out how to delete folders and files. The program lets you choose folders, subfolders, and files to erase by such parameters as keyword, file extension, creation date, and modified date. The program can automatically delete empty subfolders, and you can use its file-shredder feature to make sure your documents can't be recovered later. Because of the many options it gives you for eliminating unwanted files, we think Deletor is an excellent pick for a wide range of computer users.Publisher's description
From Basta Computing :Deletor helps you reduce the clutter in your disks and other storage media by deleting files and folders corresponding to your criteria. The application includes a shredding feature to destroy sensitive documents and make them virtually impossible to recover. Files can be filtered by name, name patterns including wild cards, attributes, and time properties. The deletion settings are contained in a single window to help you review them at a glance. Deletor also supports filter packs to help you organize commonly used file-deletion specifications and to quickly recall them by name. Combine this with the command-line interface to the program and you can easily automate the cleaning process with batch files, shortcuts, scripts, or a scheduler.
Version 3.0 adds multiple-folder processing, file and folder exclusion support to name filtering, and individual attribute-file and -folder filtering.

Version: Deletor 3.0
"Something else might fit your needs..."
Pros: Free
Cons: Takes forever to delete files, and often doesn't delete them at all. Must give it the actual files, not a folder containing the files, so you have to shred the files in batches of 5 or 10, wait a minute for it to finally happen, repeat over and over and over and over... and then you delete the folder. Repeat for each folder, subfolder, etc.. Time wasting product...
