    "I HATE Dealply."

    October 02, 2013   |   By HateDealply

    Version: DealPly 2.0

    Pros

    None. Ever.

    Cons

Too many to list. Please see summary.

    Summary

My 1st encounter with DealPly was while I was searching products on Amazon. I was immediately upset by this cheap sluggish popup appear all of a sudden that obscured my search results. It got to the point that paint dried faster than it could load and I could barely get to the next page, much less get to the actual information and products I was looking for. My herculean efforts and patience grinding to a halt with this obnoxious popup continually shrouding my view- I made the decision to stop using Amazon until this was resolved. Yet when I looked on Google for answers on WHY Amazon had this ridiculous popup, I found tons of results saying that Amazon had nothing to do with Dealply and if you were one of the unfortunate people who was trying to rid yourself of Dealply and looking for someone to blame- it was apparently yourself. Result after result, then even Dealply's own website all claimed that if you were looking for someone to thank for being allowed to experience their stellar ads, it was something you recently downloaded - talk about non-specific. Dealply's website FAQ's page: Q: "I don't recall installing Dealply- how did it end up on my computer?" A: "If you did not install DealPly directly, you may have had it offered to you during the installation process of another application." Hmmm. You may? Does that mean, you may NOT have? I certainly had NOT and I have not downloaded any apps for the past few months. It's not installed anywhere on my computer and when I searched "Manage my add-ons" looking thoroughly through ALL ad on's- its' not there. Yet, as Amazon and plenty others are stating, Amazon has no knowledge of Dealply and they are not associated in any way, then why are there so many comments/experiences similar to mine- ONLY experiencing Dealply on AMAZON, specifically their website and NO where else. And if somehow Dealply managed to weasel their way into just that site- then Amazon should be looking into it. Just the sheer number of complaints about the popups ONLY on their site should justify it. I finally figured out that if you go to Dealply's webpage and go to SETTINGS- you can "opt out" of something you never opted in the FIRST place- and they say, they will stop. I'd still like to know just HOW this happened.

    "Junkware, manure, allbut a virus"

    September 15, 2013   |   By rinfrance

    Version: DealPly 2.0

    Pros

M/S picks it up as malware, it is advertising stuff that will prefer you to focus on what they want you to look at rather than what you want to look at.
Run things like Microsoft security essentials to get rid of this pague. That is the pro at least MSE picks it up.

    Cons

Now the con, it slows down your computer, redirects it gets you rubbish and god knows what els

    Summary

Treat this as the plague, get rid of it. Also do run clean up programs to make sure this type of stuff is deletetd.

    "Not a helpful program"

    September 11, 2013   |   By cybervegeto22

    Version: DealPly 2.0

    Pros

    None whatsoever.

    Cons

    It's adware/malware.

    Summary

This was installed via a backdoor on my computer; not sure how it got there, but it's categorized as adware. MSE threat level is "medium," but removal is easy.

    "People Exaggerate"

    September 01, 2013   |   By yellowhats

    Version: DealPly 2.0

    Pros

Not sure why everyone is so up in arms. It shows you pop-ups with better prices of stuff while you shop... It says it does that in the description. So how can you be angry when it shows you a pop-up?!?

If you actually pay attention to it, it usually gives you a cheaper price on whatever you're looking at than where you are.

    Cons

Sometimes it shows the wrong product. Sometimes it's a bit sluggish.

    Summary

I like it. It's not mind-blowing, but it's useful. And it's certainly not as horrendous as people have been saying...

"Some things to get used to but great all in all."

    July 07, 2013   |   By Selmalami

    Version: DealPly 2.0

    Pros

    - Finds cheaper prices automatically

    Cons

    - It gets a little 'pop-uppy,' but I just disable it when I don't want it on and, when it is on, it genuinely finds the cheapest deals possible.

    Summary

It can be a little annoying in how it works but, honestly, a great little plug-in...

    Summary

pretty much the same stuff I've been saying. WHATEVER YOU DO, don't download this stuff. if you find it, it probably was by no choice of your own (like the rest of us), and your best option is to get rid of it ASAP.

    "Malware. Do not download."

    June 07, 2012   |   By jasonlovesjazz

    Version: DealPly 2.0

    Pros

wow, four positive reviews on the same day. oh wait, i guess that's not really a pro. never mind. none. there are no pros.

    Cons

    you can't uninstall it.

    Summary

    Dealply is malware.

Their "helpful" uninstall instructions don't work: Dealply does not appear in the add/remove programs in windows, so you can't uninstall there. Dealply does not appear in the extensions list in chrome, so you can't uninstall there. Their response: "if that doesn't work ..." Why wouldn't it work? Really? Because they know it doesn't work.

Then their website gives you the chance to hide the program, not uninstall it. Sorry, that's just not good enough. So it can run in the background doing god-knows-what? Even if that was a solution, I wouldn't trust them enough to try that.

I am perfectly clear that I did not install this software and it was not an optional piece of software with something else I installed.

Sadly, it was not detected by: AdAware, AVG, or MS Security Essentials. I wish they would get their act together and identify this as malware. And CNET, why are you offering it?

Manual fix, here I come, I guess...

    "Delete this NOW!"

    April 27, 2012   |   By theemutamer

    Version: DealPly 2.0

    Pros

Shows you not to trust reviews on this site because they can easily be hijacked by employees/paid surrogates to leave positive ratings for questionable malware.

    Cons

Browser hijacker. Everything about it is Con.

    Summary

This little piece of malware comes packaged with some other programme you downloaded. Delete it.
