DVD Repair is tool that will repair Windows if your CD or DVD drive is missing or not recognized. DVD Repair can also repair your Autoplay or Autorun settings and protect your computer against Autorun parasites (virus). More specifically, DVD Repair attempts to recover or repair your CD-DVD drivers by deleting the UpperFilters and LowerFilters values from the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}] registry key.

None that I could see.
Summary
My dvd drive on my Win7 comp disappeared and it said that I had a corrupt registry entry. I was thinking of removing the DVD drive and find the manufacture to get a driver. But this fixed my problem DVD drive in seconds.

Today, my Windows 7 suddently could not find my CD/DVD drive. After going where angels fear to tread (the registry, per Microsoft's instructions) with no success, I downloaded DVD Repair from CNET. The download and the repair took less than one minute, plus time for a reboot.

If you think your DVD has failed and think you have tried everything - I spent hours reseting autoplay, setting default media players, and a host more. Then I discovered this neat software and was gob-smacked. I just wish I knew whatever this author knows!
