Publisher's description

From Bhaktee Software :

MS-DOS based applications are designed to print on character mode printers. Presently many laser and inkjet printers have powerful features but come with connectivity to only USB ports which DOS applications cannot access. DOS2USB extends the printing ability of DOS programs by capturing MS-DOS print jobs and redirecting them to windows printer irrespective of their types including USB Printers, Network Printers, Print-Servers and PDF Printer.

Version 1.59.40 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"A Great Solution for Rerouting an lpt1 Command to a USB Printer!"

by Jen Hoy on March 21, 2007

Pros: I purchased DOS2USB some time ago, and want to say how much I like this product now that I have had an opportunity to thoroughly test it. I am a COBOL programmer who designs business application programs to run in a Windows environment. I use the Micro Focus COBOL compiler, and the programs I create will not run under a true DOS format. However, there are no COBOL call functions that handle the rerouting of print commands from lpt1 to the USB port. So I was especially interested to see how DOS2USB would work with my windows programs. To my surprise, it works perfectly! I am also pleased with the different options provided, such as changing font types, text color selection, font size, language support, and many other features. After installing, just select your printer by clicking on the appropriate button, select the font you want to use and play with the margin options if needed (you will know if you need to when you print something). Then save your settings. I select the option to start with windows so I do not forget to do it before running a program that requires rerouting to the USB port. DOS2USB is the perfect solution for ANY program that that requires an lpt1 command to be rerouted to a USB printer. I would pay ten times the amount charged for this product. It is well worth it.
