Publisher's description
From DIY Datarecovery :iRecover is a Windows based, read-only data recovery utility. iRecover does not repair the damaged volume or disk. Instead it analyses the damaged source and rebuilds a "virtual file system" in memory. From this virtual file system you can recover data by copying it to an intact drive.iRecover offers FAT, FAT32, NTFS and (limited) Ext2 file system support. iRecover recovers data even if the hard drive's partition table, boot record, FAT/MFT or root directory are lost or damaged, data was lost due to a virus attack, the drive was formatted, fdisk has been run, a power failure has caused a system crash, files were lost due to a software failure, files were accidentally deleted.
Version 2.1 includes Linux Ext2 support, RAID 0 and 5 support, SMART monitoring, and File validation.
