I can't really think of any. This is a very good product and I would recommend it to anyone interested in 3D modeling and scenery art.

After 20 minutes of downloading and installation, the thing hangs just after it starts. Totally useless garbage!

This program has grown and is now a powerful 3D rendering program with animation features. Requires some patience to learn and also a little money to buy DAZ characters although a lot can be found for free.
Cons
Is not the full version although a lot can be done with this program until you wish to outlay the cash.
Summary
Thanks to DAZ one can get started and play with this software until you are comfortable producing art/animations for free.

This free software has served me well for more than 2 years.Good UI, strong features that rival higly expensive products. Still it is amazing how much it offers for a free product.
Cons
- Not free of issues though (rendering mostly).
- Development keeps improving the sability with each build, but crashes keep bugging this otherwhise great software.
- It's free, yes. But most 3d models are not. Actually this is the point...Summary
This is the utlimate 3D FREE starter for anyone. A must have.
I didn't try the full version yet, but I am sure it's worth the money. -

DAZ Studio is a great product. Too bad they decided to let CNet host their downloads. FAIL.
Cons
No USEFUL Download Link from CNet. Customer Service is non-existent, and their techs treat their users like they're total idiots.
Summary
It would be nice to have an actual, WORKING download link, instead of getting a damned run-around TRYING to figure out how to download the thing.

still has a free version , seems to crash less ,sure there is a learning curve , but it is not too steep , many free meshes/models are available - - free art !! what could be better ??

still an occasional crash on scene save , but much less , most stable version for me in a long long time - - some of the daz base characters are no longer free , but the important ones still are , and there are many free 3rd party meshs/models

daz studio is great !! maybe not quite perfect , but free is free !! see share.com and renderosity.com for lots of free content !! does this count towards my license requirement of telling 3 people about daz ?? express yourself !! do art for others !! art for art's sake !! free your software and your mind will follow !! people ask me " can anyone do this ? " and i lie and tell them yes !! talent is optional !! they do not ask " can anyone do this well ? " which may be a different story !! but , talent can build and develoup , but won't if you don't try !!

Well, the artwork I've seen online looks great. Very envious of wanting to create the same quality 3D art.

After install I get the error, "FATAL ERROR - cannot find cour.ttf and times.ttf"
So the install package doesn't carry "required fonts" (both font files are in my fonts directory by the way) or allow font substitution choices? Just pathetic.Summary
Seriously, they write a program for WINDOWS and the MAC and they have a specific font obsession to the point that it kills the program from running? Derp derp derp.

Easy to use, fun to use. This program enables the user to create stunning 3D art quickly and easily through use of re made models. Load, pose and render figures to create stunning 3D art.
Cons
It can be difficult to find decent lighting. If you look hard enough, you will find something, but lighting is key. Try the program yourself, and see what you think.
Summary
Decent 3D art program. If you want to be pedantic, this is a lighter version of Poser. The program still has enough power to stand beside Poser. Comes from the same company that makes Bryce and Carrara. Enough Said.
