Version: DAZ Studio 2.3.3.146
Pros: It's free and does give you the basic ideas of 3D modeling.
Cons: You quickly learn that you're VERY limited in what you can do without buying a lot of add-ons. The program occasionally behaves strangely like not really clearing RAM until you shut it down from Windows Task Manager.
Summary: OK to play around with but if you want to get serious with 3D, you're going to have to spend a lot more money.

Version: DAZ Studio 2.3.3.146
Pros: First and most obvious: it's FREE. Their site also has freebies available, and lots of freebies offered elsewhere on the internet. The interface is easy to use and pick up quickly, and recently they integrated DYNAMIC CLOTH into it.
Cons: Can crash, when pushed too hard. Usu. won't support scenes with more than 5 or 6 figures in it, fully clothed. Previously, the lack of dynamic cloth support was a con when compared to Poser, but that is no longer a problem.
Summary: Bottom line is really summed up in the pros: free, easy to use, comes with enough free content to get you more than started. For those who don't know, dynamic cloth is basically a way to digitally simulate the complex way real cloth behaves when it... read more >>

Version: DAZ Studio 2.3.3.146
"Brilliant 3D rendering software for FREE"
Pros: It's FREE!
The layout is intuitive. It looks nice. Easy to use. You can customize the display and menus. Fast. Accurate.Cons: Some of the documentation on the manufacturer's website is out of date and refers to older versions that don't look/work quite the same.
Summary: This is the best, most robust 3D software I've seen for free. It sure doesn't run like a freebie -- I use professional graphics tools in my career and it's on par with all the major labels. This version has really made working with the models super-... read more >>

Version: DAZ Studio 2.3.3.146
"Excellent introductory software"
Pros: Free, with perfect integration into many other graphic applications. Free content to start you off with. Very flexible and clean interface. Runs very well on older computers.
Cons: A small learning curve, which is common among 3D graphic applications. Also does not have AOL/IBL (if you don't know what these are, you likely will not have a need for them).
Summary: The manual can be downloaded from the web site at daz3d.com and shows you what to expect. The site does sell models and meshes, but these are not needed if you know how to Google for "Poser free stuff" (it imports Poser meshes and models natively). ... read more >>

Version: DAZ Studio 2.3.3.146
Pros: when this program first came out it was Awesome, But that was a Long time ago, since then its been taken over by what I think is a company that is extremely misleading. Their is nothing good to say about this Program.
Cons: when you download the program you get nothing with it , You have to go to their website to actually download a model that you can try to use with the Program But Continued
Summary: it Wont let you Save Anything -- So ITS NOT Free at all. Then they want you to payfor all the Models and every little prob Which in the end will Cost More than Hundreds maybe even into the Thousands of Dollars depending on how much you want to get i... read more >>
