From RDFoerster Software :Cypher-Mate comes with 25 quotations of famous, semi-famous and Infamous personalities of our time. It also allows you to enter pre-encrypted puzzles from published sources, such as newspapers or other publications. You can also enter favorite quotations, poems, and other short text, and generate your own encrypted puzzles. Two versions are available. Select this monochrome version for older PDAs that do not have a color display like the Palm IIIx, or similar. The color version is available for Newer PDAs such as the Zire-72 and Clie NZ-90 for example. Both versions are provided in a full featured, but time limited trial version, so you can try it for yourself before you buy. If you are running Cypher-Mate on a Palm-IIIx, you will notice that dragonball processor is much slower than on new devices. You will need to be patient during some decyption operations.The 25 provided puzzles, and any puzzles you create from plain text, will include a hidden cipher alphabet. This allows you to *solve* a puzzle that you have given up on. Pre-encrypted puzzles from published sources dont have this feature. Normally, the solution for them is unknown until you discover it through clever play. If you have Adobe Acrobat reader on your Palm, you can take the 8-page users guide in PDF format, with you for reference during play.Cypher-Mate is provided as a Self-extracting archive that requires a Windows based computer for extraction. Other users need to contact the publisher to get the files in an alternate format.
