for old vcr (analog) to dvd movies, one combo that works, though cumbersome is: a) pinnacle dazzle 100 to go from analog to digital; b) avs software to convert file type to dvd burnable like mpeg-2 or avi...problem is very slow

could be a nice program, but is so buggy it is unusable.

Crashes while editing.
Crashes while saving.
Crashes when changing options.
Crashed when loading.
Locks up when trying to render movie.

Pure junk. You will not get anything done with this. No technical support. Buggy code. A complete waste of time and money. Anything else is bound to be better.
Essentially, this software is a complete waste of time and energy. Don't waste yours.
Too bad I can't enter 0 stars.
Their technical support is worthless. You'll have to leave an email msg and they'll get back to you in several days with a canned answer. No help. Program still crashes. There is an option to pay for support, but my guess is that it is just as useless as their email support. -

This program does have one thing. It will teach you a lesson on wasting your hard earned dollars.
Cons
Crashes constantly. Help files useless. Support costs $30! Extremely difficult to use and I'm an advanced computer technician. You'll waste your money, plus days and weeks trying to use this program. Avoid this program like the plague.

If it can be used to edit 3d video , it's more better.
Summary
I record a lot of videos at music concerts and other events for my Youtube page and needed video editing software that's quick and straightforward to use. I used programs like VirtualDub and Windows Movie Maker before trying PowerDirector 9 and I found it was helpful in simplifying the process of editing my videos but giving me enough power to improve the quality of them as well. And the easy ability to upload directly to Youtube was the cherry on top. I'd recommend PowerDirector 9 to anyone!

Very responsive UI, video frame seek speed is just amazing. I can seek my video more precisely and with less time. Faster production time also help me do more in less time.

Summary
PowerDirector has constantly made itself over & over again throughout the years, getting better with each new version. Just download their newest version, there are more tracks & special effects. really good!
