"is it my imagination, or is this full of adware?"
Pros: no it isn't my imagination
Cons: this program installs WhenU Save Adware. check out their policy on their website: -

Version: CutePDF Writer 2.6
Pros: It's free and works fast. Excellent little pdf creator - easy to install and use. Does require an additional file but unless you're lazy or thick this takes two shakes to download and install.

Pros: It's free and works fast. Excellent little pdf creator - easy to install and use. Does require an additional file but unless you're lazy or thick this takes two shakes to download and install.
Cons: Nothing in particular. Obviously it doesn't have the advanced features of Acrobat but this doesn't matter as most users of this programs will want it to create a quick pdf for emailing, rather than press or printing.

"Easy to use and does what is says"
Pros: Usually, I email my things to work and print them out there (mostly Word documents). I have a printer, but it costs a lot to keep buying cartridges and it's noisy. Recently, I got the program 'Power Tab' and found some good music (I like to read notes as opposed to that crappy internet tab). Well, I couldn't print this out at work since I am prohibited to install any programs on the computer at work. To even hook up to a printer at the local copy shop was 10 bucks!!! So I found this program, and easily converted my .ptb files to PDF files and now I can email them and send them to work to print. Couldn't be easier!! If you find spyware, you might be an exception, possibly. I didn't find any, no problems at all. If you have even a small bit of computer know-how, you can handle spyware, adware and so on.
Cons: Maybe it could make me a mocha. Other than that, really nothing. Free, real easy to use, does what it says and non-obtrusive. Great find!!

"I never used it, I was too busy getting rid of WhenUsave..."
Pros: I wouldn't know what is good about it.
Cons: It comes with WhenUsave as a downloaded program...(they say this isn't adware..???)and keeps putting up a web page with ads on it for various software from them...I uninstalled both the CutePDF and WhenUsave and now I'm much happier.
