If you need to create MP3s and WAVs from audio found in various video files, this utility handles the job with ease. We found the modern, jukebox-style interface attractive and easy to use. You can either extract audio from entire files or grab certain portions by selecting the starting and finishing points. You can't alter the audio quality or bit rate, but you will find a video preview screen for your reference. The conversion process is swift, though the trial version only allows you to extract one-third of any given file. Version: Cucusoft All Audio/Video to MP3/WAV Converter 2.31
Pros: Nice interface, full spectrum of conversion options and formats (direct conversion from DVD disc and/or file conversion), reasonable price.
Cons: Takes longer than average to parse file, demo version seemed to be converting files but playback showed ONLY the developer's watermark for the entire duration of the clip. A watermark is understandable in demo software but it should be superimposed over the converted video... NOT blocking the image with a black screen. How are potential buyers supposed to evaluate the quality of the conversion? It's back to the drawing board for Cucosoft ;-)

Pros: It works.
Cons: What on earth is the point in an evaluation product that only does a third of the job??? This product only converts a third of the file you wish to convert; presumably for copyright protection I guess *sigh*

"Works as described, but the company is terrible."
Pros: It does indeed convert just about every file I could throw at it. It was much faster than some of the free converters I've found. DVD and multi-file-type conversion all in one easy package.
Cons: The Developer: Cucusoft must be a company of one employee who never checks their email. Once you purchase it, you have to wait for them to get around to sending you the file. Only after you hit "submit" do they tell you it will be 12-24 hours until you recieve an email from them. But alas, it has been well over a day and my order number still does not show up in thier system.
The program itself: While it does convert a wide variety of files, it just doesn't do it well. The quility is average at best. It might be fine for most people and their Zunes, but if you are looking for the best picture the Zune can display, look elsewhere.
In a nutshell; (Once you actually recieve the software) Great all-in-one package, great file support, easy to use, OK video quality, awful customer support.

Cons: Do not buy any product from this company. Having bought another product and having difiiculties their customer service is non-existent. They do not respond to emails and are frankly appalling AVOID!!!!!!!!

"I used the demo in W2000 no problems w/dvd but problems w/file converter"
Pros: The DVD -2- Zune worked fine. Converted the whole DVD. Loaded on zune 30 pretty fast. Gives a few other output options besides wmv.
Cons: Video to zune didn't not work. avi and mpg caused errors and program shut itself down. Slow to convert DVD to wmv. Extra slow to convert to that new mp4 .26 something or another
