Nothing better than what they said about the software "creates a volume (vault) that can only be accessed with a password. This volume stores files in the encrypted form. Once mounted, the Cryptainer drive is like any other drive you normally work with"

I looked at a variety of similar programs but only this has all of what I needed: Proper time stamp management, so that I can backup the container file (time stamp changes only when writing to the container); proper releasing of handles, so that Win2000/XP doesn't complain about not being able to move/erase the container file because it is still in use; quick mounting; persisten drive letter assignment.
Cons
The program insists on having a default container which is always opened first when the program is started.

Cons
The program makes a encrypted space on your disk but outside this "container" you can not encrypt so far I can tell. If you want to email encrypted files you have to get them out of the container....

Easy to use, secure, fast and, best of all, FREE! It has a max vloume size of 25 mb, but just create multiple volumes to bypass this.
Cons
I think that you can only create 4 volumes, but I haven't checked. If it's true, it means you can only encrypt 100 mb of files (remember that Office docs are almost always under 1 mb - almost because of lengthy, media-filled PowerPoints).

Cons
Only stores 25 megabytes. (TrueCrypt can store 8.5 billion gigs!) Has no encryption options. (TrueCrypt has 11!) Hint: Try using TrueCrypt first.

Encrypt anything you want (within 25mb) and safley password protect it!! Your files are put carefully into a drive of your choice- eg y or z ,and when you have finished editing your encrypted files the drive will disapear from your computer meaning no one can access the encrpted files unless you enter the password in the software and the drive will reappear! Fantastic and better than my expectations.

It's a shame there is a 25mb limit. After using this product for quite a while i'm quite sure this software is not spyware (just 4 u spyware conserned people!)!

It took minutes to download, minutes to install, minutes to understand and minutes to use. There is a very simple interface which is easy to follow and leaves little room for misunderstanding.
If you want to secure sensitive files such as passwords which you can store on your pc or on a USB key, this is a good tool for most.
No technical knowledge required, just some common sense and possibly a bit of a play around to get used to the main functionality.
Cons
If you like the software you will start to use it regularly and the size limitiation means you will want to upgrade to the paid version or mess around with installing new folders of the same software to get more space.
My only real concern is that I couldn't see how to secure a folder with lots of files and store it on a USB key. I could only secure and transfer individual files.

Pros
Locks off a section of your hard drive, with password protection. Even if you uninstall the program, the locked off section stays fully protected. A good program...especially if you have things to hide ;)
Cons
The free version, restricts the size of the protected area, but it's still very useful.
