Publisher's description
From Cooliris :Cooliris' eliminates your hassle of having to click back and forth between your searches and the results pages, and thus losing context of what you're searching for. With Cooliris, you can conveniently preview links on ANY WEBSITE, including Craigslist, eBay, Google, and Google Images. You won't have to open every single page. Just mouse-over any link or image thumbnail and you'll be able to preview the underlying Web page or picture without clicking.
Version 2.3.9 allows memorization of the window size and position, adds the mouseover icon after links by default, and moves "Add to Stack" down the list in the right-click menu.
CNET Editor's Note: The Download Now link will prompt a local download of the Firefox extension. To install the extension directly, open the file using your Firefox browser.

Version: CoolIris Previews 2.3.9
"OK if you like that sort of thing..."
Pros: Does what it says on the tin, pretty well. Attractive little preview windows, with a reasonable range of options.
Cons: I found it intrusive and distracting. OK I'm usually using Firefox for research rather than entertainment, but I found it a rather sad triumph of form over content, and it continually took my attention from the matter I was trying to read.

Version: CoolIris Previews 2.3.9
Cons: Previews too heavily cropped. Resizing the preview window failed to help as all I got afterwards was a tiny blue thumbnail which wouldn't respond to any action. More of a nuisance than a help.

Version: CoolIris Previews 2.3.9
Pros: Preferences offer the options of when and how to open the preview screen. Now you can set the size of the screen and it remembers it so you don't have to resize the screen for each preview. Loads very fast so no waiting for the preview. It can be turned on/off by a 'one-click' over the icon (firefox). It will open a new tab for the site you're viewing in your browser (again firefox). I've only used firefox for this add-on so I can only speak of how it works with this browser. When doing searches for images this add-on will pop-up a preview of the actual size of the image and not just a thumbnail. (For image hounds they have developed a new add-on (Pic-Lens) which will take all the images you have found in your search and make a slideshow out of them. Might want to check that one out. It's still in Beta but progressing along very quickly.) Alec and the team are very easy to work with on getting problems fixed and listen to requested items users would like to have added.
It's really worth your time to try it out. It downloads quickly and setup is a breeze. No, I'm not part of CoolIris. I'm just a user who likes the program very much.
Cons: Since the window resizing thing has been fixed, I don't really have any cons to add.

Version: CoolIris Previews 2.3.9
"This program could well be the greatest invention since Google!"
Pros: I don't know about anyone else, but even since the advent of tabbed browsing, I've gotten tired of having to remember to manually open a new tab when I want to see what's next. Now I don't have to since, although CoolIris doesn't preview pages within its preview pages, at least I don't need to open a new window unless I KNOW I want to!
