Designed to help you organize your movie collection, Collectorz.com Movie Collector delivers on that promise, for the most part. The interface, if not exactly slick, is perfectly serviceable. The same is true for the program's search functions. Internet searching has become a standard feature of most media-collection managers, and this program is no exception. However, it doesn't only connect to the Internet Movie Database; it also consults various search engines, American and Japanese shopping sites, and even its own internal database. This can be a double-edged sword. For example, when searching for Terminator, you'll find not only the well-known blockbuster but many Making of... specials as well. Comprehension to some is just distracting clutter to others, but once you have your movies entered, you can view them by title, year, genre, cast, and other metadata. Overall, Collectorz.com Movie Collector is a solid program for those with a bit of patience and straightforward cataloging needs.Publisher's description

Version: Collectorz.com Movie Collector 5.5.2
"Good program but Costs $40 everytime they release an "upgraded" version."
Pros: The Database is a good tool that allows you to connect to IMDB and other invetory sites to easily import your Movie collection data.
Cons: I have had this software for about a year and a half. Everytime I "update product now" it costs me $40!! So in just over a year I paid the original $70 for the software, $40 for an update (that did not seem to add many features) and now it is asking me to pay another $40 to update it again!
It is a good program but not worth the constant rip off.

Version: Collectorz.com Movie Collector 5.5.2
Pros: Rather extensive databases to look up/pull in movie data and thumbnails. Manual options are easy to use for movies that aren't in online databases. I always use freeware if I can. This program takes the cake, however, for databasing movies, and was well worth the $38 license. Make sure you look around the Collectorz website or at the message when you exceed your 50 movie limit. It gives coupon codes for purchase ($5-$8 off).
Cons: The database gets a little slow above 150 movies. Noticeable but not overly annoying. Lacks the awsome drag and drop feature of ReaderwareVW (i.e. drag url from Amazon.com website into ReaderwareVW to add a movie.)
