"I wish I knew about it much earlier"
Version: Cogitum Co-Citer 1.04
Pros
Using it for the past four or five months.
Made my life much much easier.
On the input side, every time I run across something interesting on the web, it takes a single click to stash it. However, on the output side, this ease of capture becomes a disadvantage. Now a huge pile of dishevelled data awaits proper classification. Sigh!
Cons
- Could have a more intelligible and better designed interface resembling the traditional upper toolbar with pulldown menus including whatnot.
- On top of the provided data fields, an additional user-defined sort key would help.
- It'd be neat if it integrated with other database apps or the MS Office Suite, but then again that would stretch the wishlist.

"Wonderful Internet Citation tool."
Version: Cogitum Co-Citer 1.04
Pros
This is wonderful software. Now I can easily cite text from any source on the internet easily and effortlessly. It has useful features for creating and maintaining several collections. It also works in any Internet Explorer based program, too, so that I can use it in other programs that use the IE, and not just the browser. I use it all of the time, and it is so easy to edit the citations. You don't have to copy the URL for the page--Cociter does that for you. Just enter in your comments, and voila, your citation is complete! You can also edit the comments and re-organize both the collections and the citations within the program. I love this simple freeware.

"Crashed too often to recommend"
Version: Cogitum Co-Citer 1.04
Summary
This program lives in its own little world. What I wanted to do is use Co-Citer to copy the content and link and simply paste it into a document in one piece for my blogs. As it stuffs its data into a proprietary format, it has little value for me.
Furthermore, it crashed too often under Windows XP to be of value. -
"A must-have for researchers"
Version: Cogitum Co-Citer 1.04
Summary
Anybody that grabs info, data, whatever off the Web needs this free program. It has performed flawlessly on my Win98 machine for over 2 years. Co-Citer has assisted me in maintaining a straight-A grade average doing university work. Yah' gotta' grab this program!!!!

"Very handy program"
Version: Cogitum Co-Citer 1.04
Summary
I too could wish for a few more features, such as the ability to grab text from other programs, but overall I can't complain. It is an extremely stable and easy to use program, and keeps my text organized. So much handier than the old cut and paste technique. I recommend this program to anyone who does a lot of research on the net, and needs a quick and easy way to grab and sort large amounts of text.

"Great for quick text saving, but needs more features"
Version: Cogitum Co-Citer 1.04
Summary
It is so easy to save text from Internet Explorer's window - just in two clicks. I just wish the author would add some more features, like the ability to grab text from other internet applications like news and mail readers. This program is great for saving plain text, but I wish the HTML formatting would be preserved, especially the links in the text because I use this program mainly to grab articles which are harder to read withour original formatting. Organizing capabilities are awesome - it is very easy to choose the folder to save the text into, to move folders, to move saved texts... Anyway, if you look for a free, fast and stable plain text grabber, look no further!

"Useful little tool. Doesn't grab images though."
Version: Cogitum Co-Citer 1.04
Summary
This tool is not complicated but can be extremely useful if you are searching for information on the net. It would be much better to be able to save images and other HTML elements into the collection though. For text grabbing, it's sufficiently useful.
