This lightweight application quickly launches the Command Prompt window for any directory in Windows Explorer, but doesn't offer any extras that warrant paying for such a specialized service. CmdHere neither offers a dedicated interface nor a program icon of some sort. Instead, it goes to work through a hot-key command. The program performs well in our tests, quickly and seamlessly launching the Command Prompt window for the current folder. It does save time and effort because you are not fumbling through the Start menu or even a custom Quick Launch shortcut, but a Microsoft update offers this same capability at no charge. CmdHere doesn't let you change the default hot key (Ctrl T) or create other hot-key shortcuts. All things considered, CmdHere works, but we think it will a tough sell convincing users it's worth the money.Publisher's description
From ngSoftware :You're in a Windows Explorer window browsing a folder and you realize that you need to open a command prompt at that folder. So you go to the Start Menu, find the Command prompt and then CD your way to your folder. Just hit a key and the command prompt automatically open at the correct folder. That is what CmdHere is all about. All you have to do is hit Ctrl+T when you're working in a Windows Explorer window. Let's say for example your browsing folder C:\Windows\System32 and you want to open a command prompt. Just hit Ctrl+T. That's all. A command prompt opens, waiting for your commands at C:\Windows\System32.

Version: CmdHere 1
"Hey a $16 program for something that Microsoft provides for free!"
Pros: Its a function some people can make use of.
Cons: $16 for a program that does something Microsoft offers for free (Command Here PowerToy)? Are you KIDDING ME? And if you are so inclined, if you download the program AutoPatcher, a program which provides users with all the Windows Updates in one big installer, there is a patch you can install in the program which adds this SAME EXACT FUNCTION for FREE. A QUICK REGISTRY EDIT!!!
If you buy this software you are complete dope.
