Publisher's description of ClickGone
From Stylet Software:With this very small utility you can kill your frozen programs with one click. For example when you double-click on a program's icon, the target-like cursor will show-up. Then on the next program you click it will be terminated. The idea was based on Xkill. from the UNIX world. Basically, this utility is a Windows clone of Xkill.

This tiny app quickly closes frozen programs, but clicking too fast or in the wrong spot could cause problems. ClickGone doesn't have a standard interface, as it simply turns your mouse pointer into a bull's-eye. Click anywhere on the frozen application's interface to quickly eliminate it from your screen and memory.
We found it is possible to click too fast and eliminate the wrong program. Also, clicking outside the frozen program's interface could close Windows. Those were rare problems with this stable utility.
Other than user error we found nothing wrong with this application. It performs as promised and with low overhead. We only wish it was a simple executable without need for installation. Any level user will be happy with this freeware's performance.

Version: ClickGone 1.1
"Does what is says... and does it well."
Pros: There isn't too much of a UI to this app, nor does it require one. You simply click on the app from your start menu, your mouse pointer turns to a bullseye, you click on the frozen application, and it disappears. So far it has managed to terminate any and all apps that have locked up on my machine.

Version: ClickGone 1.1
Pros: Folks, please remember if a download does not work the first time it is most likely something simple. First read the ReadMe.txt file. it may need something which in not installed.
Try downloading it again, Try rebooting your computer.
It will most likely work, it just needs tweaking.
This program is simple and works exactly as it should.
Just click the Target Icon than click on whatever is on your desktop
which you want to close. It's that simple. And it sure beats using the task manager.
Cons: I haven't found any thing to complain about at all.
Just install and it works. ( You may have to make a shortcut and put it on your desktop or where ever you like ) that is the only thing it did not do.

Version: ClickGone 1.1
Pros: This is just an amazing program, really. It cuts out the lag of having to search through your folders for Process Explorer, and wait for it to start (or cause a blue screen of death). Leave the shortcut on your desktop so you don't have to wait for the start menu to open if you're lagging.
Cons: When first used, new users may try to start it by clicking the shortcut, scratch their head at the new pointer, and click on the empty Windows desktop to try and remove the effect. I'd suggest setting your computer to ask you what to do when pressing the power button.

Version: ClickGone 1.1
Pros: None
Cons: It is suppose to kill frozen applications. It did not. I tried useing it several times on the same application with no joy. I uninstalled and had to delete the icons myself. Had to remove registry entries myself as well. Very poor design and very poor program.

Version: ClickGone 1.1
Pros: It's easy and it does its job. There's no dialog box or confirmation I need to make. It just gets the job done without the fuzz
Cons: I still have to launch the appz first before I could kill it. It would've been alot more convenient if the app is forced to run as a service and is triggered by a few keyboard combination.
