This Windows Registry cleaner sacrifices flexibility for simplicity. Clean My Registry (Portable) uses a simple three-button interface with a too-small list display. Experienced users will miss many features usually present in this genre as this freeware is geared toward the novice user. The utility doesn't install on your system and can be carried on a USB drive or written to CD. The Help file offers little information past a simple introduction.
Operation is easily started with a quick click on the Clean button. After a few moments, the program displays Items Scanned, Items to Clean, and Items to Fix. One button will clean all problems. A quick click will open the detailed lists for user information. However, you can't choose to save or delete select items. Cleaning or fixing is an all-or-nothing process. Cleaning one list automatically cleans the other. There is an Undo button, but testers found it sometimes failed.
This utility lacks some of the features more experienced users expect in this genre, but novice users will appreciate the speed and simplicity of this program.
