Version: ChrisTV PVR Professional 5.05
Pros: I purchased earlier versions and it worked sort of OK.
Cons: I Purchased version 5 and have been trying to set it up for more then 3 weeks. Have had several e-mail exchanges with support and got nowhere. (I think it?s automated.) I kept getting back the same non personal responses over and over.
Weeks later, several hours of setup, dozens of re-installs, e-mails and hundreds of setting changes, it?s still not working. I?m sure it is very powerful but unless you understand everything there is to know about TV cards, codex?s, video and audio capture devices, this is not going to be an easy program to set up. They have an extensive forum if you like reading for hours on end, and I can see why. I don?t see why this software is such a pain to setup. .I installed windows media edition on the same computer and the TV worked fine from the start. If you buy this software don?t be surprised at the time it may take. It?s like buying a car and only to find out later your engine comes in a box and YOU have to put it together.
