Version: Child Control 8.102
"This is the absolute best parent control software out there!!!"
Pros: We live in Alaska and have five teen and preteen girls, all fighting over the computer, the internet, AND using it without permission when we're gong. I've tried CyberPatrol, CyberSitter, and others on a trial basis (I even bought CyberSitter), and this easily one kicks their butts. Salfeld's Child Control 2006 literally has it all: A timer for both using the internet AND using the PC (configurable separately, and you can set use of the PC or the 'Net by the hour, day or week of permitted use BOTH by time limit, e.g. 1.5 hours per day on Mon-Thur and 2.0 hours Fri, Sat and 1.0 on Sun, OR by the time of day, e.g. only from 6-8 am and 5-9pm on weekdays, all day on weekends, and from 12-1 for lunch break, or literally any variation in between. It's also got great filters AND you can disable your "wanna be" computer kid genius from "tweaking" the systems, e.g. time settings, control panel, downloads, "run" programs, etc etc etc. You can vary your limits by user (age and maturity level, or those being punished by restricting use permanently or temporarily). Dierk Salfeld also promptly and courteously provides prompt, personal and satisfactory support for his products. I cannot say enough about how happy I was to find one controller which has it all, all for a great price ($30 for single license; $60 for up to five licenses).
Cons: Easily configurable, but I'd like to be able to "network" the system, i.e. configure one of the kids' computers from my own PC. Right now, you must install the program and configure it on each of the networked computers. Small potatoes concern though.

Version: Child Control 8.102
"With 3 kids and finite computer time -- this rocks!"
Pros: I have three kids, and I wanted to control time for each. I also wanted to see exactly where they went on the internet w/o being too restrictive. So, I only used these two features, and it worked wonders. I now get an email every hour they are on, direct to my blackberry, showing me every URL and executable they launched. Using the Stealth Mode also keeps them from knowing you are watching. THANKS!
Cons: I found the internet filtering too restrictive ... some of the 'blacklist' words come up in innocuous websites, so that is frustruating. I don't use that feature.

Version: Child Control 8.102
Pros: Installed it on Chinese Windows without any complications to prevent my gf's nephew from chating late nites on the net.
Easy to install and manage.
Cons: The software only logs the times and number of minutes used per session. It doesnt give me a log of what was done within that session or where he surfed - which would have made this software perfect.
