This free browser add-on lets you search and download software products and e-books from several Web sites, but it's exclusive to Internet Explorer. Cheap Software Toolbar adds an extra toolbar to your Internet Explorer window and utilizes such search engines as eBay and Shopping.com. You'll find a couple of drop-down menus that offer downloads for freeware and trial software, including system utilities, video converters, Web authoring tools, and more. You can also find a variety of free e-books ranging in subject from Internet marketing to inspirational that can be downloaded and read. You won't find any extras with Cheap Software Toolbar, such as a pop-up blocker, but it does have the ability to clean your search history. It's limited to Internet Explorer, ignoring other popular browsers such as Firefox and Opera. Despite its limitations, money-wise consumers and Webmasters will appreciate the free software, deals, and e-books this freebie has in store.
