In spite of a few notable flaws, this program quickly puts song lyrics on your iPod at no cost. After you connect your iPod and open the application, be sure to check the Settings panel to make sure the proper drive is selected. While you can enter a search term to find a particular track, it's easier to simply have the program display all tunes on your iPod. From there, you can simply check boxes for songs you'd like lyrics for. After the program does its thing, you'll find the text files you requested under your iPod's Contacts menu item. One problem with Canto Pod's interface is it's not immediately clear how to download words to the MP3 player; in reality, the tiny iPod icon in the lower-right corner performs this action. Lyric-download speeds were fairly impressive, but the program didn't always return accurate results. Still, we can't complain about this too much, since this problem can be blamed on the online search engine Canto Pod uses rather than the utility itself. Though it's not perfect, this program is free and useful, making it worth a look for the iPod-toting generation.Publisher's description

Version: Canto Pod 2.2
Pros: Ok, Canto pod is the first piece of software I could find that can actually automatically find lyrics for the songs on your ipod and put them into the contacts section. Great idea!
Cons: Sadly, Canto pod fails to do the job like I'd like it too. The first big flaw: you can ONLY retrieve 10 lyrics at a time, so get ready for checking a good number of checkboxes beside your songs(especially if you have a big library). Secondly, quite a considerable number of lyrics come out incorrect, yet they may easily be deleted in the file browser. There are also many minor errors in the program, but none are bad enough to be worth mentioning other than the once listed above. Also, the program will not be quite as nicely integrated on Video Ipods, since lyrics may be entered directly into the tag. In the end, its a very good start, just needs some improvement.

Pros: 1.Works very well
2.Great database of lyrics
3.Easy enough to use display
4.If there's a problem or anything, the program will automatically come up with a pop-up telling what it thinks is wrong, i.e.
as soon as i opened the program up it immediately made a pop-up saying that it was unable to connect for updates and that it detected a firewall, and sure enough, as soon as i allowed it access it never had that problem
When the program started running slow for no apparent reason it had a pop-up saying that the search engine it uses was having technical difficulties with servers and they would be fixed soon!
Cons: At first it's a little confusing on what to do, but if you just look at it you'll figure it out soon enough.

Pros: It works great. It's fast. It downloads the lyrics into your notes folder and when you look them up, it will take you directly to the song.

Cons: All it did was find my Ipod. It just kept giving me an error message and shut down every time I tried to get the songs from my Ipod.
