From Outertech :

When your system runs out of RAM, Windows starts to use virtual memory instead of flushing the disk cache. To change this, you have to edit the system.ini file. Cacheman is a GUI-based tool designed to optimize the cache settings and change the aforementioned INI file. Cacheman is designed to produce better system performance on most systems because it reduces the use of the swap file. This version features a new GUI, customization, history graphs for memory, disk cache, swap file and GDI resources, and a new help file. To view screenshots, click here and here.
