Although it lacks a few of the bells and whistles found in other PC-cleaning applications, this free program offers more than enough features to make it a worthy download. CCleaner's interface is logically designed and makes it easy to wipe away your tracks from Internet Explorer and Mozilla, various Windows system areas, and some third-party applications.
CCleaner doesn't support a large number of extraneous programs as some competitors do, but it can erase traces from such popular programs as Spybot - Search & Destroy and WinZip. Also missing is a secure file shredder, but it makes up for the omission by supplying a Registry-cleaning utility, which quickly scans for invalid entries before removing them. CCleaner can even back up your Registry before removal, in case it accidentally removes a crucial component, and the download includes a feature for uninstalling any program on your machine.
Since this free application handles the majority of PC-cleaning chores and offers a nice extra, we have no problem recommending CCleaner to all users, except those who need to get rid of supersensitive data.

I like that its not a long and complicated download and installation process. It works great and effortlessly.

I wish the memory clean our tool would explain what the clutter is so I can decide if a program needs to be there at start up or not.

Call off the search. I used to have to do Destructive and Non-Destructive Recoveries of my system on a regular basis, but after getting used to CCleaner, it taught me a lot about how jamming your registry can be so sensitive and cause major problems. Get used to the `Fix Issues' option on this cute baby and you'll be safe overall.

It works great if you want your hard drive to get cleaned.

Now this is the big problem with Ccleaner, I just downloaded the latest version of Ccleaner and performed a quick clean. This software erased NTLDR files from Windows XP Home and my comp did not boot up, I had to reinstalled windows and reformatted the hard drive (That what Dell Tech told me to do). At first I wasn't sure this caused by Ccleaner so I reinstalled this software back and perform a quick clean few times and same craps happened. Error massage NTLDR is missing when I tried to boot up my computer.
So what's up with this piece of ****?? It can clean but why damaging or deleting the windows XP files at the same time.

Cleans the drives nicely. Does the job quickly and thoughly.
Cons
Removes ALL files and empties trash bin automatically if you don't check and set the sortware as to what you want to save.
