"Great application to have for new iMacs!!!"
Version: Brightness Control 1.0.4
Pros
- Dims screen beyond manufacturers allowed settings
- easily restore default/previous brightness setting by pressing ESC
- Dims all the way to a BLACK screenCons
- No cons, this is a simple & great app to have!
Summary
I have a new 24inch iMac (purchased September 2009) & the screen can be EXTREMELY bright at times, especially when I am working with Adobe Creative Suite. This app dims the screen beyond what the iMac can do itself. I dont know why Apple didn't make it so the regular brightness control could go all the way to a black screen - my 13 inch Macbook (late 2007 edition) has the ability, but not the iMac. So download this! You have nothing to lose :)
